Clinic Philosophy
It is our desire to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care to our patients
and offer the best possible service to our clients.
Our clients are our friends as well as our clients, and we value their continued trust
and goodwill. Courtesy and patience with clients and their pets are our priorities. An
attitude that says “We are glad you are here” must be conveyed to each and every
client. By selecting us to care for their pets, clients favor us—not vice versa. This is
probably the most important concept for you to remember, and it makes it easier to
understand the importance of showing genuine concern about and interest in a
client’s problem.
How it all began to where we are now.
Town & Country Veterinary Clinic was established in July of 1985 by Dr. Richard
Cockerill. A satellite clinic was established in St Edward later in the ‘80s and the Elgin
clinic joined the practice in the 1990s. Dr. Jeremy Young joined the practice in May
of 2006 as an associate Veterinarian. In January of 2009 Dr. Young became a
partner in the practice, buying out Dr. Cockerill’s shares. Dr. Cockerill continued to
be actively involved with the practice until his retirement in 2014. Dr. Cody
Gulbrandson joined the practice in 2010. In 2012 Dr. Gulbrandson bought Dr. Chris
Martinsen’s shares, which at this time Dr. Martinsen left the practice. In 2021 Dr.
Jeremy Young bought out Dr. Cody Gulbrandson to become the sole owner of the
clinic. At this time Dr. Cody Gulbrandson left the clinic.
Town & Country Veterinary Clinic provides services for both
large and small animals. The clinic has haul-in facilities at our Albion location as well
as 2 portable hydraulic chutes for on-site work. The veterinarians have many forms
of progressive technology at their disposal including ultrasound, blood analysis
machines, gas anesthesia (small animals), and dental equipment for both small
animals and equine. The clinic has also updated their x-ray equipment in 2017 to
digital in-house x-ray. This allows us to take and develop x-rays within minutes.
Town & Country Veterinary Clinic also works closely with multiple diagnostic labs to
help provide clients with more complete diagnostics.
In December of 2023 the new clinic was completed and transitioned to TC Vet Clinic.
Within the new clinic there are 3 exam rooms, surgery suite, treatment area, ICU,
and so much more. The Hotel and Spa at TC Vet was also added. With this addition
there are 20 dog runs and 4 cat condos along with a grooming area. In 2024 the St
Edward location was permanently closed.
